Presentations & Workshops

Women’s Animal Center offers offsite programming to meet the needs of any age group:  preschool, elementary, middle and high school students as well as college students, scouting and youth organizations, libraries, local businesses.  Women’s Animal Center can accommodate a presentation to meet your interests and goals.

Our current topic offerings are as follows:

  • The History of Sheltering and Animal Welfare – Women’s Animal Center is America’s First Animal Shelter.  Learn about our history, trailblazing founders, and discover where our organization started and how it operates today.
  • Interesting Animal Careers – Learn about some of the many careers that animal lovers can pursue.
  • Animal Behavior and Safety – Learn how to tell how animals are feeling, and how to interact with them to make them feel more comfortable and how best to keep humans and animals safe.
